Live Amazing. Be Amazing. Join Nextiva’s AI Operations team for an action-packed fall focused on deploying generative AI and agentic AI to accelerate our internal processes. You’ll prototype and operationalize AI workflows that boost pipeline, efficiency, and insight generation while gaining end-to-end exposure to demand generation, RevOps, and marketing analytics. This is a 3 month full-time, paid internship. Applicants must be able to work onsite at our Scottsdale Headquarters Monday-Friday. The Role: As an AI Engineer Intern, you will build and deploy lightweight AI agents and automations that eliminate internal bottlenecks. You’ll experiment rapidly with models such as OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, and in-house LLM apps. Expect a hands-on, scrappy environment where iterating fast and quantifying impact matter more than polish.

Requirements

  • Rising senior or master’s student in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Demonstrated scrappiness (startup, hackathon, or side-project experience)
  • Familiarity with GenAI, APIs, prompting, and coding (Python, React)
  • Experience with OpenAI ChatGPT and CustomGPTs, Anthropic Claude and Claude Code, and other AI models
  • Analytical mind-set; able to quantify impact and iterate fast
  • Highly organized, action-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
  • Strong communicator who collaborates well across functions

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test AI workflows that replace manual work
  • Deploy agentic automations for internal process monitoring and optimization
  • Prototype integrations that remove repetitive GTM tasks
  • Generate weekly dashboards summarizing impact, insights, and next steps
  • Analyze operational data with AI tools; recommend optimizations
  • Document clear playbooks and train teammates on every solution shipped
