Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field (ideal candidate has completed Junior year, but open to other classes)
  • Strong interest in applied AI, automation, data analytics, and business process improvement
  • Comfort working with data, reports, and documentation, and translating information into insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams or projects
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or low‑code/no‑code platforms is a plus, but not required
  • Prior exposure to AI tools, copilots, automation platforms, or analytics coursework is a plus, but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Work on applied AI and automation use cases across underwriting, operations, customer support, finance, and analytics
  • Help design and prototype internal AI tools such as: Knowledge and procedure chatbots using SharePoint, Copilot, or external AI platforms
  • AI‑assisted document and manual search for underwriting and customer service
  • Automated reporting, summaries, and insights for underwriters, operations, and leadership
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and data sources, and translate them into well‑defined AI or automation opportunities
  • Assist in automating repetitive processes such as: Drafting structured emails and follow‑ups
  • Generating scorecards, summaries, and reports from spreadsheets and system outputs
  • Validating data completeness, accuracy, and formatting requirements
  • Analyze structured and semi‑structured data (Excel, reports, Power BI outputs, call analytics, state bulletins) and help surface insights using AI‑assisted tools
  • Support experimentation with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, and other AI‑enabled platforms, including documenting findings and best practices
  • Participate in interviews, working sessions, and team meetings with cross‑functional partners
  • Document findings, recommendations, and results from pilots and proof‑of‑concepts in a clear, business‑friendly manner
  • Contribute to backlog prioritization by helping assess impact, effort, and business value of potential AI initiatives
