In office Monday – Friday, with potential on-site visits to other GTA offices/stores Join Our Team: The Home Depot Asset Protection team safeguards company assets, people, and reputation through proactive, data-driven strategies. Their mission focuses on reducing losses from theft and fraud, ensuring safety, and maintaining compliance across retail and supply chain operations. The team uses advanced analytics, technology, and strong internal and external partnerships to identify reduce loss and risk to our locations. Job Summary: The intern’s work will significantly advance The Home Depot Asset Protection team’s ability to safeguard assets and optimize inventory management. By auditing existing data points and engineering critical features, the intern will create a predictive shrink model that unifies disparate data sources. This model, once developed and rigorously tested, will be integrated with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to provide field and divisional leaders with clear, actionable views of inventory risk. The goal is to move shrink from a lagging indicator develop it as a leading indicator of risk. By identifying and understanding risks as they develop we can executed targeted mitigation strategies to protect margins, eliminate loss.
