Intern - Audit and Compliance

About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit and Compliance and Accounting and Finance, the Audit and Compliance Intern will assist with statistical modeling and system analysis and improvement. Duties and projects will include, but are not limited to the following: Analyzing member data for trends with the goal of determining which alternate financial institutions our members transfer funds to. Work with the Audit and compliance team to prepare and analyze reports and make recommendations, Compliance Management and audit process improvement. Participate in on and off campus events as a representative of the University of Michigan Credit Union. Why consider UMCU? Requirements

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate to members and coworkers.
Decision-making skills and the ability to understand and promote the Credit Union philosophy.
Must be detail oriented, motivated, and able to work at own direction.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions whether written or verbal.
Working towards a B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related area of study
