About The Position

The Micro Space Merchandising team is directly responsible for supporting the store planogram creation and implementation needs for all categories within Corporate Purchasing and Store Merchandisers working in retail. This support is critical to ensuring that the appropriate product is delivered to the correct stores within the right space. Within the department, the intern will learn how to create effective store planograms and create new reports. What you’ll do receive training on the tools used to create planograms, identify the inputs needed for these tools, and understand what goals need to be reached for a successful planogram publication to all stores. get an overview of our teams that physically reset sections in our stores based on the planograms published and help create reports to track the effectiveness of these teams.

Requirements

  • must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or if graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or if graduating from a master’s degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester)
  • must be pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in business administration, business analytics, data analytics, or logistics and be a current junior or above (rising senior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
  • knowledge and experience in developing queries for relational databases (e.g. Access, SQL Server, DB2)
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • excellent skills in math, statistics, and various methods of analysis
  • ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • analytical skills, problem solving, logical reasoning

Nice To Haves

  • current retail associate
  • intermediate knowledge of BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, or others)
  • knowledge and experience using merchandising applications (e.g. Apollo).
  • knowledgeable in accessing data through the use of SQL queries
