Join us to accelerate this vision and your professional development. We are looking to bring on an Intern, Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team during the summer of 2026. This person will assist office engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks. This is a full-time role with an approximate 3-month duration, starting in May/June 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on field experience and be a valuable contributor to our project teams. This role will be based out of our Boston, MA office location.

Requirements

Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career.
Candidate should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate civil or geotechnical engineering program.

Responsibilities

Serve in a field support role, working on technically challenging projects on a construction site.
Assist engineers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of site characterization programs on various infrastructure and real estate development projects.
Assist with evaluation of subsurface geotechnical and environmental data.
Assist in performing geotechnical design/analysis and developing geotechnical recommendations.
Express a willingness to visit construction sites to assist in the field with our construction monitoring service group.
Complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training where required.
Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and flexibility to support multiple projects throughout the internship.
Computer Skills - Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.
Driver's license strongly preferred.
Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred).
This position will require travel to job sites within the Greater Boston area and working outside of the office 95% of the time. The position may include field sampling, lifting and transporting up to 50lbs of field equipment unassisted, bending, walking on uneven ground, working on large construction/industrial sites, working in the elements (following our Health & Safety guidelines), and use of personal-protective equipment (PPE).
