Join us to accelerate this vision and your professional development.  We are looking to bring on an Intern, Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team during the summer of 2026. This person will assist office engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks. This is a full-time role with an approximate 3-month duration, starting in May/June 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on field experience and be a valuable contributor to our project teams. This role will be based out of our Boston, MA office location.

Requirements

  • Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career.
  • Candidate should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate civil or geotechnical engineering program.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a field support role, working on technically challenging projects on a construction site.
  • Assist engineers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of site characterization programs on various infrastructure and real estate development projects.
  • Assist with evaluation of subsurface geotechnical and environmental data.
  • Assist in performing geotechnical design/analysis and developing geotechnical recommendations.
  • Express a willingness to visit construction sites to assist in the field with our construction monitoring service group.
  • Complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training where required.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and flexibility to support multiple projects throughout the internship.
  • Computer Skills - Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.
  • Driver's license strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred).
  • This position will require travel to job sites within the Greater Boston area and working outside of the office 95% of the time. The position may include field sampling, lifting and transporting up to 50lbs of field equipment unassisted, bending, walking on uneven ground, working on large construction/industrial sites, working in the elements (following our Health & Safety guidelines), and use of personal-protective equipment (PPE).
