About The Position

Here at ilani we have a desire to provide selected enrolled Cowlitz Indian Tribal Member college students with a hands-on opportunity through our internship program. This enables the student to put his/her acquired classroom skills to work in the business environment. Internships are a win-win situation. Students benefit by applying their professional skills in the workplace. The workplace benefits by having a qualified student perform meaningful tasks and activities. In alignment with our core values of continuously developing dedicated and passionate team members, the internship program provides the potential for immediate or future placement.

Requirements

• Enrolled Cowlitz Indian Tribal Member
• Current college student or graduate
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with strong attention to detail
• Must have intermediate MS office skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures
• Must have varied availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs in a 24/7 environment
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment

Responsibilities

• Promotes superior guest service.
• Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
• Develop internship learning objectives and measure progress with a mentor.
• Complete departmentally specific tasks.
• Assist with special projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
