About The Position

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT As a Controlling Intern for the Business Area (BA) Tire Replacement Americas, you will support the Controlling team with analytical and reporting activities while gaining hands‑on experience in financial processes within a global organization. This internship provides opportunities to learn directly from senior analysts, contribute to real business decisions, and build a strong understanding of market performance, profitability drivers, and operational finance. Key activities: Assist with monthly closing activities by preparing basic reports, validating data, and supporting the team with routine tasks; Help update monthly forecasts by gathering input, checking data accuracy, and preparing preliminary analyses; Support the annual Budget and Strategy processes; Assist with the preparation of materials for C-Level operational reviews, including charts, tables, and draft commentary; Take hands-on efficiency improvement initiatives, Support analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) and other financial statements; Contribute to special cross-team projects; Collaborate with team members to provide general support on controlling topics.

Requirements

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, & or Business Administration
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours
  • Currently enrolled in a US accredited degree program for at least another 12 months and can dedicate 12 months toward this internship
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organized and ability to work autonomously
  • Able to come onsite to our Fort Mill, SC Tire HQs 3 days/week (Mon-Fri)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred coursework in Accounting & Business
  • Able to work 25+ hours per week during normal business hours
  • Knowledge in Power Query and/or Power BI

Responsibilities
