Job Description Position Overview The Corporate Business Initiatives team partners across the organization to support high-priority initiatives that span strategy, finance, analytics, to aid executive decision-making. The team works closely with senior leadership and functional groups (e.g. development, operations, and finance) to evaluate opportunities, develop insights, and support initiatives that maximize portfolio value and enable long-term growth. Key Responsibilities: Typical work includes supporting enterprise-level priorities, financial and portfolio modeling, business case development, dashboarding executive-level materials, and ad-hoc problem solving on complex, cross-functional topics. This role is ideal for a highly motivated student interested in corporate strategy, finance, energy infrastructure, or large-scale capital-intensive businesses. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to real-world strategic decision-making, work directly with a senior manager, and collaborate with stakeholders across the company. Responsibilities will evolve over the course of the internship based on project needs and the intern’s interests and strengths.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor's degree program, majoring in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in strategy, finance, or analytics.
  • Ability to work full-time in office during the internship period (summer).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with changing priorities.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
  • Experience with PowerPoint, PowerBi, Tableu or similar tools for creating clear, professional presentations
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts quickly
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic and financial analyses related to corporate initiatives, portfolio optimization, and investment decisions
  • Build and maintain Excel-based models, trackers, and summary analyses
  • Assist with development of executive-level presentations and briefing materials
  • Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support strategic recommendations
  • Help synthesize complex information into clear, concise insights for leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects involving data analysis, scenario evaluation, and process improvement
