About The Position

Earn college credit while gaining hands-on experience in corporate sponsorship strategy with the Oklahoma City Thunder! The Corporate Partnerships team is seeking an intern to support sponsorship asset development and brand strategy initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional sports environment while gaining exposure to partnership operations and strategic brand collaboration. Summer internships begin June 8, 2026 and end on July 31, 2026. This program provides meaningful, real-world experience within a professional sports organization, along with supplemental professional development opportunities such as resume reviews and curated enrichment events designed to support your career growth.

Requirements

  • Presently enrolled in an accredited college or university with junior or senior standing and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for occasional local travel

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with PowerPoint or Adobe Photoshop preferred

Responsibilities

  • Research emerging trends and categories in sports partnerships and summarize industry best practices
  • Assist in the reporting process of partnership data and insights
  • Work closely with Corporate Partnership sales team to develop prospect and client materials that support partnership presentations
  • Assist with preparing proposals and presentation materials as part of the corporate partnerships sales process
  • Analyze third-party and internal research to help build category reports identifying local, regional, national, and global brands to support the team
  • Organize and maintain relevant partner and audience data
  • Participate in department brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for comprehensive marketing platforms
  • Perform other duties as assigned
