As an intern, you won't watch from the sidelines, you’ll design pipelines, optimize cloud infrastructure, and ship code to production. Job Summary: As a Data Engineering Intern, you will play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines that power analytics and decision-making. You’ll develop ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL, integrate data from third-party APIs, and assist in designing efficient data warehouse schemas for our Data Science team. Additionally, you’ll contribute to maintaining high code quality through reviews and best practices, gaining hands-on experience in scalable data engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Have studied Data Structures & Algorithms and Database Management courses.
  • SQL and Python Proficiency
  • Database Concepts: You understand the difference between a transactional database (Postgres/MySQL) and an analytical warehouse (BigQuery).
  • The successful student will be currently enrolled in a Canadian accredited university or college throughout the period of the Internship/Co-op program.
  • you must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study/work permit.
