About The Position

We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities at our site in Orlando, FL. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. Your role: Support day-to-day departmental operations, performing hands-on activities essential to maintaining production flow, ensuring product quality, managing inventory, and providing technical support within a dynamic, continuous improvement environment, while exercising sound judgment and autonomy within established procedures. Conduct research as directed by management, analyzing industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to provide insights that inform strategic initiatives and ongoing projects. Analyze project-related data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and present actionable, data-driven recommendations to support effective decision-making. Actively participate in team meetings by contributing ideas and strategic input, while accurately documenting discussions, decisions, and action items to ensure clear communication and follow-up. Organize and maintain departmental documentation and records to ensure accessibility, operational efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards and requirements. You're the right fit if: You are pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field. Your skills include: A strong foundation in digital signal processing theory, including FIR and IIR filter design, spectral analysis, and discrete‑time system modeling. Hands‑on programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, or C/C++, with an emphasis on numerical stability and real‑time performance optimization. Familiarity with advanced filtering knowledge, such as adaptive filtering, multirate signal processing, time-frequency analysis methods Demonstrated ability to translate mathematical formulations into efficient, well‑structured, and testable code, as well as analyze algorithm performance and optimize for computational efficiency Experience with FPGA and/or VHDL development and exposure to hardware‑accelerated implementations of signal processing algorithms is preferred. You’re an analytical and detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments and communicates effectively across teams. You take ownership of your work, contribute to structured processes, and are motivated to support high-impact engineering and operational initiatives. Philips Transparency Details The hourly pay range for this position is 33.00 to $46.00 for master’s candidates and $36.00 to $55.00 for PhD candidates, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
