Assist Engineers and Project Managers with the design, construction, and installation of equipment, piping, and utility systems. The job is located at the Grifols Clayton, NC site. This job is with the Grifols Engineering department, which is a dynamic team of engineers and project managers involved with design and construction projects at the Clayton, NC site. The projects involve facility improvements, such as new manufacturing equipment, utility system upgrades (HVAC, electrical, wastewater, etc.), and building infastructure modifications.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Engineering; rising Junior or Senior required OR currently accepted or enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program.
  • GPA of 3.0 minimum

Responsibilities

  • Support team with construction coordination (such as taking photos, communicating with contractors, creating safety signage)
  • Review construction progress by walking down construction drawings, and documenting tasks with Engineers and Project Managers
  • Communicate issues and constraints during construction and design activities and work with teams to find a solution and follow up
  • Support project documentation such as equipment lists, drawings, and turn over packages
  • Compile historical project documentation such as cost and scope
  • Meet with Engineers and Project Managers to document lessons learned from previous projects and organize continuous improvement action items
