We are seeking a talented and motivated College Summer Intern for our Finance team at our Columbus, Ohio site. As an Intern, you will earn practical experience as a fully integrated member of our team and participate in meaningful projects that will add value to our organization. In this role, you will provide support to the various Research and Development groups, Participate in Clinical Research Trial Design and Implementation.

Requirements

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
  • Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
  • Overall, cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) or better.
  • Pursuing degree in business or finance
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly motivated and inquisitive with a strong desire to learn.
  • Organization skills to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; data analysis experience a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and support the Materials Management team.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in an operational environment as needed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction; no sponsorship offered at this time.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Support the fixed assets lifecycle, including periodic cycle counts, asset tagging verification, and reconciliation to the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with capital project financial monitoring, including tracking spend vs. budget, reviewing supporting documentation, and following up on project status from a finance perspective
  • Help prepare and maintain fixed asset reporting, including updates to the fixed asset register and support for month-end and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Support asset disposals and retirements, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and accounting treatment.
  • Assist with placing assets into service for completed projects, including coordination with project teams and validation of capitalization readiness.
