About The Position

We deliver affordable, reliable ELECTRICITY, with a focus on EFFICIENCY and a commitment to ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP. We are dedicated to ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, providing resources and supporting economic growth. Our EMPLOYEES are our greatest asset in meeting our mission to be an Oklahoma Agency of Excellence. The Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) is an agency of the state of Oklahoma, created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1935 to be a “conservation and reclamation district for the waters of the Grand River”. GRDA is a non-appropriated state agency, fully funded by revenues from the sale of electricity and water instead of tax dollars. GRDA utilizes a diverse portfolio of assets to generate, transmit and sell electricity to Oklahoma municipalities, electric cooperatives and industrial customers, as well as off-system customers across a four-state region. At the same time, GRDA manages over 70,000 surface acres of lake waters in Oklahoma, as well as the waters of the scenic Illinois River. The Grand River Energy Center (GREC) is a large multi-unit thermal power generation facility owned by the GRDA. The plant plays a critical role in providing reliable, flexible generation while maintaining high standards for safety and environmental performance. GRDA is seeking motivated students to serve as Plant Operations Interns to support daily operations at the Grand River Energy Center. This internship provides exposure to control room operations, field operations, and plant systems under the supervision of experienced operators.
