About The Position

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you. Make a Difference We have various internships that will support the Information Technology department. Options can be discussed in further detail. The Clinical Epic Analyst intern will work alongside a clinical Epic Analyst to gain hands‑on experience in clinical IT and healthcare informatics. This partially remote role provides exposure to real-world clinical informatics workflows, allowing you to see how data, systems, and decision support come together to improve patient care. You will collaborate with both clinicians and analysts to support initiatives that enhance information flow, knowledge management, and overall clinical effectiveness. The IT Systems Analyst intern will work with an IT Systems Analyst specializing in the Epic Medical Records System. This role will involve learning how the medical record system operates from both the end user and IT administration side. You will observe the clinical workflows used in the system as well as the build, maintenance, and support of the system. You will have the opportunity for a comprehensive exploration of the infrastructure of a healthcare organization IT department. You will be able to observe and engage with experts in many areas in the IT space and have opportunities to develop skills through participation in assigned tasks and projects. The Senior Epic Analyst intern will work closely with a Senior Epic Analyst in a mostly remote role, gaining valuable exposure to clinical workflows within the integrated Epic electronic medical record, including system troubleshooting, maintenance, build, and customer support. You will have opportunities to collaborate on problems and solutions that optimize the system, support our caregivers, and enhance the patient experience and will contribute to projects that could include evaluating team processes, developing virtual engagement activities, and organizing team resources. You'll regularly engage with other analysts, IT leaders, clinicians, and operational partners on network-wide initiatives.
