Job Purpose The Visual Arts Intern supports the ʻŌlino Arts Pathway by helping with creative projects, youth programs, and visual documentation that celebrate Hawaiian culture and community storytelling. This internship offers hands-on experience in visual arts while supporting culturally grounded education and youth involvement at the Liliʻuokalani Center.Learning Objectives Develop and strengthen an active personal art practice while understanding how the visual arts support community storytelling and education. Gain hands-on experience supporting culturally grounded youth programming within a Hawaiian-serving organization. Build skills in visual documentation, creative project support, and artistic collaboration. Increase understanding of Native Hawaiian cultural practices and how they influence artistic expression and community engagement. Enhance communication, reflection, and professional skills through mentorship, teamwork, and project participation.
