About The Position

Summary of Essential Functions Develops social media plan based on annual marketing plan and current hospital strategic plan. Works closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to perform other tasks as needed. Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in marketing / communications is helpful, which may be obtained through vocational school or related job experiences, 1 to 2 years preferred, or college student studying in related field. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Licensure and Certifications Not applicable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Flexible 20-hour week schedule, Monday through Friday. Will work around school schedule. Excellent writing and editing skills to include advanced knowledge of AP style. Experience using social media for corporate communication purposes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to effectively and courteously communicate with other persons. Ability to exercise good judgment and develop strong working relationships. Strong oral and written skills. Bright, hardworking and enthusiastic with a commitment to excellence; results-oriented. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements May be expected to lift over twenty five (25) pounds. Ability to distinguish between numbers and symbols. Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity with substantial movement of wrist and/or fingers. Walking and climbing to accomplish tasks. Corrected vision and hearing to normal or near-normal range. Duties and Responsibilities Establishes and maintains relationships with United Regional staff. Assists in the development of effective written internal and external communications including memos, presentations, brochures, and proposals. Involved in activities and communications designed to enhance the hospital’s image and branding externally, among the general public and internally, for employees, volunteers and physicians. Performs all other tasks/responsibilities as necessary
