About The Position

At ACS, we are a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to fostering a vibrant and engaging marketing, branding, and communication ecosystem. Our mission is to bring our values, vision, and culture to life through impactful design, captivating content, and audience-specific delivery. From campaigns and events to daily, digital-first experiences, we work collaboratively to excite and inform our social media audience. ACS is seeking a Marketing, Social Media, and Communications Intern to support our corporate brand presence and growth objectives through consistent, high-quality social media execution. The intern will help plan, draft, design, schedule, and analyze content across ACS social channels in alignment with ACS brand voice, values, and business priorities (including hiring, culture, technical capabilities, and community engagement). This internship is designed as experiential learning with increasing independence over time, culminating in a portfolio of published content, an updated content library, performance insights, and a brief out-brief of outcomes and recommendations. Our annual cohort formally runs from 6/1/2026 through 8/14/26 but includes the flexibility to start the work as early as 5/18/2026 and continue beyond the 8/9/2024 end date if the work, project sponsor, and intern agree to an extension. This position can also be scoped to accommodate interns who want to work either parttime or full time. ACS’s ideal internal candidates are rising undergraduate seniors who display the desire and ability to be self-starters. ACS interns may telework or create a blended work schedule using our Reston, VA office. There may be occasional in person meetings in Reston, VA where interns are encourage to attend. Interns who do commute to the office are provided a commuting stipend of $125/month. Teleworking interns are expected to use video-based collaboration to work with ACS project sponsors, supervisors, and intern-cohort participants. ACS provides the computer equipment necessary for the intern to be successful in their role. Our end goal for ACS interns is to identify a future pathway to full time ACS employment. Given the market in which we operate, full time employment (after graduation) will require a security clearance.
