Requirements

  • Education Level Required: Bachelor's, Rising Senior (completed 3 years by start)
  • Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and time management.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in chemistry or chemical process is a plus.
  • Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the modification and improvement of the AWN (Acid Waste Neutralization) system and facility leak detection system.
  • Support capital projects and sustaining facility operation alongside the facilities and operations team.
  • Collaboration with Equipment and Process Engineer to implement changes and schedule tool down time.
  • Assist with engineering documentation, data analysis, and project tracking related to facility systems upgrade.
  • Prepare and deliver a final presentation and written report summarizing project work and internship outcomes.
  • Assist with reviewing and updating engineering drawings, system documentation, and P&IDs for facility systems.
