As a Development intern you will work with a team of engineers and industry professionals in one the following area: Hardware Development: This may include both mechanical or electrical HW and activities may include: modeling various aspects of drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects. Areas of work may be control systems, motor electromagnetics, and digital/analog electronics, product design and development Additionally, as a student associate there will be hosted activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills and immerse yourself in our company culture. This position will be located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and we're considering applicants local to Milwaukee before opening up to applicants outside of the local area who are willing to relocate on their own.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Preference given to students met on campus, at a national recruiting event, through a Rockwell Automation-hosted event or a targeted recruiting campaign
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Basic computer programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript)
  • Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming
  • Previous experience with Industrial Automation products
  • Experience using Agile methodology
