In a new product development lab, perform various electrical/optical tests on electro-optic components to ensure that the product meets specification. Test high power optical parts and present data to the design engineers. Perform the following tests: LIV, optical images, spectral data, near/far field data, temperature tests. Build and calibrate new test benches when new products arrive. Write test programs (using C#, LabVIEW, Python, etc) to automate testing. Troubleshoot and repair any problems with test benches that occur in the NPI lab. Receive training from engineers and other technicians and be able to train others.
