Procurement is responsible for receiving department orders, purchasing and distributing supplies across the Bank, as well as reviewing contracts and monitoring contract terms. The Performance office tracks savings and waste Bank‑wide to support improvements in overall operational efficiency. Position Overview This internship provides broad exposure to procurement operations and performance improvement. The intern will support the Procurement and Performance Offices with day‑to‑day operational tasks, data organization, analysis, and documentation. The role emphasizes attention to detail, process understanding, and strong organizational skills, while offering hands‑on learning in procurement intake, warehouse and inventory support, contract review, procedures, and time studies. The intern will also work with cross‑functional teams and may have opportunities to present findings and observations to team members and leaders.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in upper‑division coursework (junior or senior year)
  • Interested in pursuing a career related to business operations, procurement, performance improvement, or financial services
  • In good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Returning to campus following completion of the internship program
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
  • Strong customer service mindset with a collaborative team approach
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly with solid attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and basic data analysis (preferred)
  • General proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; PowerPoint is helpful (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
  • Willingness to learn new concepts, processes, and tools (preferred)
  • Familiarity with basic business communications and office environments (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Procurement Analyst with management of order intake, including tracking requests, updating logs, and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Support warehouse and inventory management activities, including data organization and basic analysis.
  • Assist with contract review support and documentation tracking.
  • Support process automation initiatives by identifying manual steps and assisting with documentation of improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in time studies and basic workflow observations to support process improvement efforts.
  • Perform Excel‑based analysis, including creation and maintenance of pivot tables and charts.
  • Conduct basic data validation and cleanup to ensure accuracy and usability.
  • Assist with administrative and organizational tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in regular check‑ins and provide status updates on assigned tasks.
