Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Intern, R&D Bioanalytical role will make an impact: Key responsibilities for this role include: Working in the Bioanalytical Laboratory at our world-class Research and Development Center with access to a broad suite of cutting-edge instrumentation, the incumbent will: Support initiatives within the Research and Development Bioanalytical laboratory. Operate laboratory equipment including but not limited to analytical balance, pH meter, and sample concentrators, under the direction of a supervisor. Prepare solutions (i.e. buffers, mobile phases, diluents) and samples as per procedures. Calculate raw data by calculator or computer. Assist in the calibration and record keeping of laboratory equipment. Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory. Assist with sample management and preparation as needed. Able to work with biological matrices such as whole blood, plasma, urine, and tissue.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their sophomore year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Chemistry or Biochemistry or an equivalent science program such as Forensic Science. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Must possess basic knowledge of chemistry.
  • Must be able to work with complex laboratory equipment, chemicals, and fragile glassware.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
  • Must possess basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.
