Sonoco is looking for a Summer R&D intern for 2026. To be considered, we are looking for individuals who are willing to relocate to Hartsville, SC for our Summer Internship with pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferably graduating in 2027. This is a 12 week paid internship based at our Corporate Headquarters in Hartsville, SC. What you'll be doing: Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks. Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing projects. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new strategies. Participate in meetings and provide input on project progress. Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Additional Responsibilities as Assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering program
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship or related experience is a plus but not required.
