Our mission is to transform merchant–vendor collaboration by enabling AI-powered decision-making, predictive insights, and real-time retail execution. As a member of the development team at Askuity, you will help drive the technical direction of our industry-leading analytics platform that has a meaningful and immediate impact on our growing customer base. Job Summary: The Askuity Fusion Demo Data system allows configurable data to support scalable demo and education activities for suppliers. Demo data is designed to guide specific narratives within Fusion that can be shared securely with multiple suppliers concurrently. This project is focused on the user experience for Askuity associates to configure that data. The process is currently manual and somewhat technical and will aim to ease the data configuration process for non-technical associates. This will be accomplished via easy-to-use front-end interfaces for data creation and editing. This project is valuable for associates tasked with designing merchandising focused data for product demos and education across multiple suppliers concurrently.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Experience building service-oriented architectures and web applications – we have a lot of things that are HTTP and REST-based
• Experience with microservices based architecture running in a Kubernetes cluster
• Hands-on technical expertise and demonstrated ability to design and implement reliable, scalable, high performing solutions
• Experience working with a cloud platform and products is preferred
• We are willing to consider new grads from with some co-op or internship experience who are interested in working on an enterprise class level platform written in React, Scala and/or Python Front End frameworks – Typescript, React, Redux, Observables, etc
• Python (Flask Framework)
• Functional programming – Typescript, Scala and AKKA/Pekko, or a desire to learn and elevate your Functional Programming expertise
• The successful student will be currently enrolled in a Canadian accredited university or college throughout the period of the Internship/Co-op program.
• In addition, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid study/work permit.
