About The Position

As the leading global type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy organization, Breakthrough T1D helps make everyday life with T1D better while driving toward cures. We invest in the most promising research to turn ideas into life-changing therapies and devices. We work with government, regulatory officials, and insurance companies to address issues that impact the T1D community -- breaking through barriers that limit access to care worldwide. We provide resources and guidance that makes it easier to live and thrive with T1D. This is more than a moment -- we're empowering a movement for the T1D community. Share your support and help educate and empower individuals facing type 1 diabetes. Our mission is to improve lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life changing breakthroughs to treat, prevent and ultimately, cure T1D and its complications. Always, we are guided by a single purpose: As we drive towards curing type 1 diabetes, we help make everyday life better for the people who face it. If you’re a sharp, motivated student who’s eager to turn your academic passion for Talent Management into real-world impact, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Breakthrough T1D is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, advocacy, and improving everyday life for the T1D community. We drive the most promising scientific breakthroughs forward, champion access to care, and equip millions of people with the resources they need to thrive. Our mission is bold and urgent — and our people are at the center of making it happen. Why this internship matters We’re redesigning our performance management system from the ground up — and you’ll be right in the middle of it. This is hands-on, meaningful Talent Management work, not coffee runs or busywork. Working closely with our AVP of Talent Management, TM Program Manager, and VP of Total Rewards, you’ll help shape a core talent program for a global, mission-driven nonprofit and see exactly how strategy becomes process, process becomes programs, and programs shape culture. You’ll also complete a capstone project tailored to your interests, present it to the leadership team, and walk away with a portfolio-worthy deliverable. And if you’re exploring a future career with us, this role is a strong pipeline into full-time opportunities at Breakthrough T1D. Location: New York, NY or Washington, DC preferred — but exceptional remote candidates welcome
