POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: The Treasury Management Intern will support projects and day-to-day operations within the Treasury Management department. This position will gain exposure in areas of data reporting/business analytics, banking industry regulatory requirements as it relates to commercial clients, and the overall management of commercial client relationships. This is a paid internship slated to begin May 2026 and ending in May 2027. In addition, this position is 100% in office in Louisville, KY during the entire internship. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

  • Active pursuit of Business, Finance or related degree with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 required.
  • Cumulative GPA 2.5 or greater required.
  • Willing to work 40 hours during the summer months and up to 24 hours during the fall/spring semesters.
  • Demonstrated ability in Word, Excel, and Internet applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal (written and verbal) skills.
  • Requires a high energy level and strong sense of urgency.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Always requires discretion and confidentiality in dealing with personnel matters.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent ability to deal with client issues, questions, and/or complaints.
  • Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
  • Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
  • Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with existing department wide projects and initiatives.
  • Gain baseline exposure to daily back-office Treasury Management operational tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to the department.
  • Throughout the program year, you will benefit from continuous coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to support your professional growth.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
  • Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
  • Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
