About The Position

We are seeking energetic, responsible students to join our organization for summer internships. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs and supporting our daily activities. This posting is for our general internship role which may support any function within our organization – Member Services, NEXT, Operations, Warehouse, Engineering, HR, Finance, or IT.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent and must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university/college program OR
Must be a high school senior enrolled in an approved work study program through their high school
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Must display a positive and courteous attitude and be eager to tackle new projects and ideas
Dependable and punctual

Responsibilities

Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic information; oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers
Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc.
Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
Run general industry related errands
Manage databases and input information, data, and records
Set up, break down, organize, and maintain conference rooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms; update company calendars
Attend cooperative functions and events
Shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of tasks
Perform miscellaneous warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, inventorying items, driving forklift, cleaning, and painting.
Assisting in the maintenance of cooperative building and grounds which may include sweeping, mowing, weed-eating, painting, and operating a leaf-blower.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
