Your potential is our inspiration. Where You’ll Make a Difference Support PLC programming, troubleshooting, and documentation for automation systems. Assist with automation projects, including upgrades, installations, and commissioning. Help design, modify, and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Perform testing and verification of control systems, HMIs, and related equipment. Collect and analyze data related to system reliability and performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives within automation and controls. Create and update technical documentation, SOPs, and engineering drawings. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including maintenance, operations, engineering, and quality. Follow all safety protocols, engineering standards, and site procedures.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred at the start of the internship.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, industrial controls, and automation principles.
  • Familiarity with PLC concepts (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, shop drawings, and engineering diagrams.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working 50% in the field and 50% at a desk.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with operators and maintenance teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous exposure to manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with PLC programming (ladder logic, FBD, structured text).
  • Experience with HMIs, SCADA systems, AutoCAD Electrical, motors, VFDs, or industrial networks.
