The Intern is a self-starter who will be provided guidance while taking on entry level work that will lead to personal and professional growth. The daily job functions may include preparing and reviewing financial information, managing account records, processing transactions, tax preparation, research, and planning. Essential functions Prepares and reviews client financial statements so it can be easily interpreted by a reviewer or client. Complete all aspects of accounting engagements for clients, such as write-up, payroll and sales/use tax. Prepares individual federal and state tax returns. Review and organize tax information supplied by client. Prepare, review and organize tax information so it can be easily interpreted by a reviewer or client. Seeks guidance and feedback from more senior employees as needed to limit rework by producing quality deliverables on the first attempt. Effective prioritization of work based on deadlines and commitments; meets those deadlines and commitments by meeting productivity and efficiency standards. Exceeds internal and client expectations by producing quality work, quick turnaround, and attentive services. Effectively navigate the various software programs and tools used by the firm. Perform other duties as needed.
