Purpose of the Role The Internal Communications Manager leads the development and delivery of communication strategies that enhance employee understanding of company priorities, reinforce our values, and strengthen engagement across the organization. You will craft clear, consistent messaging and ensure communication channels are used effectively so teams feel informed, connected, and aligned. This role translates strategy into communication that resonates, supports effective execution, and continually improves processes through the use of AI, technology, and analytics to maximize clarity, efficiency, and impact.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (preferably in Communications) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying internal communications.
  • Ability to support and model a mission-driven, values-aligned culture.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, schedule, execute, and complete internal communication initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management abilities.
  • Experience building effective partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (airline travel required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (especially SharePoint) and Adobe Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal communication plans for enterprise and functional initiatives, including program launches, updates, and change-related communication.
  • Lead the creation of quarterly newsletters and other storytelling content, including event recaps.
  • Produce clear, engaging content for companywide audiencesincluding announcements, leadership messages, campaign materials, strategy updates, organizational communications, and project-specific deliverables.
  • Break down complex information into concise, actionable messaging that aligns with our mission, strategic priorities, and values.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business unit and functional leaders to understand communication needs and develop effective supporting assets.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure coordinated and consistent internal communications across teams.
  • Enhance and maintain communication processes, templates, tools, and intranet content; support the management of the companywide content calendar.
  • Manage communication timelines, review cycles, stakeholder approvals, drafting, scheduling, distribution, and performance analytics in partnership with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications.
  • Provide guidance on messaging, channels, timing, and quality standards to ensure consistency and clarity across all Communication Team deliverables.
  • Support internal events and develop communication assets that strengthen employee understanding and overall engagement.
