About The Position

Internship – Engineering Asset Management PURPOSE: Under supervision, the Asset Management intern will assist in the planning, execution, operational support, and validation of equipment maintenance and reliability. The intern will assist and participate in design, system integration, and continuous improvement. OVERALL, JOB RESPONSIBILITES: Under supervision, you may perform the following: Support maintenance and engineering teams in maintenance management and improving equipment and systems. Learn and provide hands-on experience in maintenance processes, preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and safety practices Understand and assist with improving routine maintenance and repairs checklists Assist with data entry of maintenance shift reports findings and update equipment logs and maintenance software. Apply basic principles of mechanical and electrical systems Learning port equipment troubleshooting and help eliminate repetitive breakdowns and analyzing equipment malfunctions to improve reliability Work and learn from an experienced team of mechanics, storekeepers and other departments efficiently. Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives. Other learning ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Education – actively enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program at a University/College with a STEM focus (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline is preferred).
  • Skills – preferred: Control systems or robotics design experience
  • Maintenance experience
  • Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience
  • Passion for engineering and troubleshooting
  • Programming & PC computer literacy (including experience with Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Collaboration – Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Functional Excellence – Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions.
