In addition, we offer the only technology in the world capable of producing hydrogen, power and water simultaneously.    Summary: The Manufacturing Data Analytics Intern will support the Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams by defining the means to leverage data and analytical tools to identify opportunities to improve product quality, derive operational efficiencies, and reduce costs.  The intern will assess enterprise data sources and platforms, and make recommendations to improve systems data quality, data integrations and staging, processing workflows, and analytic capabilities.   This will include the exploration of opportunities to apply AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, visualization, or statistics.
  • Foundational skills in tools such as Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, or Python.
  • Interest in manufacturing operations, quality systems, and process improvement.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current data environments and reporting processes to identify inefficiencies or gaps.
  • Propose enhancements to data structures, integration points, and analytics workflows.
  • Assist in evaluating and building new functionality within manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Consolidate and analyze manufacturing and quality data from multiple systems (MES, ERP, QMS, IoT, etc.).
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that highlight trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear recommendations to support quality, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement activities through data-driven insights.
  • Explore and prototype the use of AI/ML models, predictive analytics, and automation.
  • Support experiments with anomaly detection, predictive quality models, and performance optimization.
  • Document processes, data flows, system evaluations, and proposed improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and operational challenges.
