About The Position

Intern will focus on day-to-day operations of troubleshooting complex Security Technology related items. Working with business partners across multiple departments to resolve technology-based software applications and hardware configuration issues that impact both front of house and back of house operations. The intern will gain working knowledge and experience blending Physical Security, Technology, and Project Management elements in a theme park atmosphere.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. A transcript is required upon application.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Computer Information Technology, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Physical Security, or similar.
  • Experience with supporting and troubleshooting PC hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of project management strategies.
  • Background with Physical Security.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and gain experience with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and analyzing hardware and software issues, ensuring fast and accurate responses to achieve minimal downtime of our systems.
  • Auditing current security program while leveraging projects to add value and technology to ensure the security and safety of all guests and team members.
  • Manages assigned technical projects from conception through completion by organizing and providing work direction to internal partners and external vendors.
  • Monitors and follows up on all project tasks to ensure proper completion and satisfaction while providing regular project status updates for management and partner review.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
