About The Position

This internship will require writing technical documentation and training deliverables. Intern will learn to work with technical subject matter experts to obtain content, conduct document reviews, and receive approvals. Intern will also experience the training design lifecycle, from content identification through piloting a course and gathering feedback.

Requirements

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred majors include: English, Technical Writing, Writing and Rhetoric, Instructional Design, or similar.
• Preferred coursework completed: English Composition course or similar, Technical Writing and/or Instructional Design course or similar.
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Advanced MS Word experience preferred), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SharePoint Administration, and/or Articulate Storyline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in external technical specification updates and publishing.
• Creates training course PowerPoints and/or E-learning on a policy or technical subject.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
