Space Force - Interoperability Test Engineer
About The Position
As a software and test engineer for the SDA program, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for interoperability testing. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Network experience (routing, analysis, signal processing) System Testing and Troubleshooting experience Test and Process Automation and Tooling experience Hardware/Software Integration experience Working knowledge of Linux and Python What sets you apart: Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems Comfortable providing technical leadership Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Able to perform activities with limited oversight Ability to apply System Engineering principles Excellent communication skills
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
- Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
- Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
