DT Professional Services is seeking an Interpreter (Sign Language) to support our NSWC team in Port Hueneme, CA. This role provides real-time sign language interpretation between spoken and signed communication to support effective communication at meetings, conferences, and events. Requirements
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three (3) years experience providing translation between spoken and sign language; must have experience translating real time at events such as conferences or symposiums.
Responsibilities
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and sign language into spoken English in real-time settings.
- Provide accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation for conferences, symposiums, meetings, and formal events.
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing agendas, technical terminology, and event materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards and ethics.
