About The Position
Serve as interpreter for the President, Japanese staff, and Japanese guests (e.g., G-TEKT, JIC, JEC visitors) as requested. Provide high-level interpretation support between Japanese and American staff to ensure clear communication in daily production operations, manufacturing activities, and technical discussions. Interpret for production-related matters including troubleshooting, process improvements, equipment discussions, quality concerns, and operational meetings on the production floor. Support communication between Japanese production leaders, engineers, and American associates during problem-solving activities and manufacturing initiatives. Serve as translator for documents, presentations, reports, and email communications across all departments. Interpret during staff training sessions and Japanese staff orientation as part of JSC introductory training. Interpret communication during daily production and morning meetings. Translate presentations and materials for customers and external partners. Assist Japanese technical and production staff with matters concerning their stay in the U.S., including but not limited to accommodations, relocation support, family matters, and general assistance. Support cross-functional meetings, production improvement initiatives, and other operational discussions requiring Japanese/English interpretation. Perform all other duties as assigned.
