About The Position
The following position is open in the Elgin Local Schools for the 2026-2027 school year: Position: Intervention Specialist-Middle School and High School Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Proper Certification/Licensure Preferred Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Intensive License BCI/FBI clearance Essential Functions: Provide tailored academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with diverse learning needs including those with disabilities Creating, implementing, and monitoring IEP’s including tracking progress. Using formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction. Adapting general education curriculum, assignments, and tests to accommodate student needs. Collaborate with the IEP team to meet the needs of individual students. Understand and implement special education guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
