About The Position

Boston Scientific Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) is the market leader in therapeutics and tools for interventional radiologists, featuring Y90 microspheres, ablation devices, embolic devices and a selection of ancillary products. We are looking for a passionate, design-focused intern looking to grow their technical capabilities on the TheraSphere Y90 R&D team within the Interventional Oncology & Embolization group. In this role, you will make important contributions to support and lead current commercial product initiatives and new product development initiatives on the TheraSphere Y90 R&D team. This role offers a unique chance to work on challenging current-state production puzzles and influencing new technologies in a fast paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2028
  • Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Responsibilities

  • Design, fabricate, and prototype new device designs to address clinical feedback.
