About The Position

The Interventional Radiology Tech at WESTLAKE SURGICAL LLC is responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the interventional radiology department. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality patient care by preparing and operating imaging equipment, maintaining patient safety, and supporting the radiology team throughout various procedures.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Proven experience in interventional radiology procedures.
  • Proficient in operating radiologic equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Strong understanding of interventional radiology techniques and protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and medical staff during procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • BLS Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
  • Experience in a surgical or hospital setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy units, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Assist physicians during interventional procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and procedure documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in interventional radiology techniques and technology.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring all necessary equipment is available for procedures.
  • Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
