Summary of Essential Duties: The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) Technologist II performs routine to moderately complex neurophysiological monitoring during surgical procedures with increased independence and clinical judgment. Building upon foundational skills, the Technologist II is responsible for selecting appropriate monitoring modalities, interpreting complex data, and communicating critical findings to the surgical and anesthesia teams in real time. This role includes preoperative patient evaluations, collaboration in developing anesthesia and monitoring plans, and active participation in multi-modality monitoring. The Technologist II ensures adherence to safety protocols, contributes to quality assurance initiatives, and demonstrates proficiency in troubleshooting equipment and resolving technical issues. This position reflects a progression in clinical expertise, decision-making, and accountability in support of patient safety and surgical outcomes.
