Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of accounting manager experience
  • Strong background in inventory accounting and balance sheet ownership
  • Experience managing multi-state sales and use tax compliance
  • Experience with Avalara or similar tax automation software
  • Advanced Excel and strong systems proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Construction or multi-location experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own all inventory-related balance sheet accounts, including consumables and RNI
  • Oversee monthly reconciliations, valuation analysis, shrink review, and reserve considerations
  • Ensure alignment between financial reporting and operational inventory activity
  • Oversee multi-state sales and use tax reconciliations and filings
  • Review tax accruals and liability balances for accuracy and completeness
  • Serve as primary contact for tax audits, notices, and regulatory inquiries
  • Maintain and optimize sales tax software (Avalara) configuration
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls over inventory and tax processes
  • Identify risks and implement scalable process improvements
  • Lead, review, and develop the Inventory & Compliance Accountant
