Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of accounting manager experience
- Strong background in inventory accounting and balance sheet ownership
- Experience managing multi-state sales and use tax compliance
- Experience with Avalara or similar tax automation software
- Advanced Excel and strong systems proficiency
Nice To Haves
- Construction or multi-location experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Own all inventory-related balance sheet accounts, including consumables and RNI
- Oversee monthly reconciliations, valuation analysis, shrink review, and reserve considerations
- Ensure alignment between financial reporting and operational inventory activity
- Oversee multi-state sales and use tax reconciliations and filings
- Review tax accruals and liability balances for accuracy and completeness
- Serve as primary contact for tax audits, notices, and regulatory inquiries
- Maintain and optimize sales tax software (Avalara) configuration
- Establish and strengthen internal controls over inventory and tax processes
- Identify risks and implement scalable process improvements
- Lead, review, and develop the Inventory & Compliance Accountant
