About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, IT Administrative Services, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the development of all procedures and protocols in regard to proper inventory control for the purpose of maintaining accurate Information Technology (IT) software and hardware to meet the needs of the business. This role is also expected to lead the purchasing and issuance of all IT assets across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in inventory control required.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
  • Solid working knowledge of enterprise class software/hardware ordering systems.
  • Must have strong familiarity with asset management platforms.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well with computers and maintain databases effectively.
  • Possesses strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have general knowledge of accounting, finance and logistics.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel including Pivot tables, V-Lookups, and Filters.
  • Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients as well as third-party service/product providers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical professionals, and a basic understanding of system architecture and software architecture.
  • Ability to research, make innovative recommendations, and where possible automate approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Ability to contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Driving Responsibilities: Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtained certificate as a Certified Materials Resource Planner (CMRP) is a plus.
  • Obtained certificate as a Certified Purchasing Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and manages software and hardware assets and resolves any issues that may become apparent.
  • Submits and processes new purchases based on business requirements and tracks order status, receivables, and order closures.
  • Updates asset inventory database with new items and conducts regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems for accurate inventory management.
  • Tracks and maintains asset tagging systems and protocols to ensure all assets are assigned to a team member or department.
  • Defines purchase recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitors and analyzes trends in enterprise spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the department.
  • Manages online ordering portals as well as manual ordering processes.
  • Monitors and resolves errors or exceptions on purchase orders. Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
