Under the direction of the Executive Chef , the Inventory Control Clerk/Coordinator is responsible for managing food, supplies, and related inventory to support safe, efficient, and timely meal service operations within the hospital. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper stock rotation, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted food service for patients, staff, and visitors while supporting food safety and cost‑control initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to understand modified diet restrictions, operates food service equipment, and perform simple math.
• Be knowledgeable of kitchen operation, food handling, food preparation, purchasing, and the use of institutional equipment and computers.
• Ability to instruct and supervise the work performance of others.
• Ability to make decisions and to adapt to changes.
• At least two years food service experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• HS Graduate, Associate Degree in business or related field preferred
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Food Handler’s Certificate
• Serv Safe Certification- preferred
