About The Position

Inventory Control Clerk III The inventory control clerk III is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels of parts, components, and tools used in the development and manufacture of Class III medical devices. This includes monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with different departments for stock replenishment, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of all inventory transactions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining an efficient and cost-effective production process while upholding quality standards required in the development and manufacturing of Class II and Class III medical devices. Essential Job Functions: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and production supplies. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies. Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records, manage lot traceability of materials and components, and prevent errors that could lead to regulatory violations. Read and interpret technical documentation, such as product specifications and labeling, to understand the specific storage and handling requirements for various medical components, devices, and packaging. Collaborate with production, quality control, procurement clerk, and warehouse associate to ensure timely availability of materials for production and shipment. Analyze inventory data to identify and address any issues such as stock shortages or excess inventory. Follow inventory control policies and procedures. Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics such as turnover rate and stock accuracy. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management processes. Work with finance manager to reconcile inventory counts and valuation. Education and Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in the medical device industry Excellent knowledge of inventory management software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA regulations, preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm. Ability to lift, bend or move up to 25 pounds.
