We have an immediate opening for an Inventory Control Clerk on 1st Shift (6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.) at our Evansville, IN facility. The main purpose of this position is to receive, transfer, and store incoming products for in-house usage. This role is responsible for keeping inventory counts accurate so that ordering of product and the decisions on what production makes are available and correct.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Experience/Training: supply chain, inventory
  • 1+ years’ experience in shipping and/or inventory control
  • Any combination of equivalent education and experience as stated above
  • Ability to work across departments, with customers, vendors, internally, to complete tasks in timely, efficient, cost effective manner for outbound deliveries
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingual
  • Excellent computer and data entry skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of relating to individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate, detailed files and records, and comply with appropriate record keeping requirements
  • Ability to organize and prioritize in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical time deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information, company formulations, raw materials, vendors, etc. As well as all Company information and matters
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to all company policies, including Quality/EHS procedures and policies, and all applicable government regulations

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Tracking of Material in Inventory Control – This includes material that is incoming that it has been inspected, staged, and entered in the computer system what has been used in production and returned.
  • Document Control – Ensure that all inventory checklists, pick list, workoff, and labels are up to date and entered correctly into respective software programs.
  • Verify all Incoming Raw Materials – Verify what is being received and enter it into stock. Inspect, verify, and sign for incoming materials and supplies.
  • Inventory Count – Ensure inventory count is correct. Adjust Tank Farms and maintain inventory count for all drums used in production.
  • Assist Operators – Help operators with questions on inventory amounts and/or locations, as well as label requirements.
  • Reviews work instructions – associated with the above-mentioned job title and regularly attends company-wide training on areas such as Corporate Ethics, Safety, Environmental, etc.
