About The Position

The student intern will support the Skokie Supply Chain team by investigating and collaborating with multiple departments to work on excess and obsolete material resolutions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree related to supply chain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative on new tasks.
• Able to work in an engaging, fast-paced, and learning-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with SAP a plus.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and verify quantities on hand as well as where material is/was being utilized.
• Work with the engineering team for items that are extended New Items.
• Fix master data to better reflect how the material is being used and prevent future issues.
• Work in partnership with finance to get approval on the E&O write-off.
• Track and monitor what is being kept and why, and what has been written off.
