Inventory Control Specialist

About The Position

This position is responsible for Physical Inventory processing, including partnering with stores to coordinate and track key inventory events.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for Physical Inventory questions and issues
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
• Prepare monthly journal entries related to the accounting close cycle
• Reconcile store physical inventories and live pet cycle counts
• Partner with stores to resolve inventory issues, including inaccurate on-hands, DC shipment questions, inter-store transfers, and negative on-hands
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation, including after-hours support for time-sensitive inventory issues
• Update procedures on a monthly basis
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Share responsibility for on-call night phone support for scheduled store physical inventories
• Complete assigned ad hoc projects and support process improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
